Course Summary :

• Purchase, safe use and storage of Aluminium Phosphides, Poisons and related equipment.
• Pest Biology and Ecology.
• Safe use of Traps, identifying suitable areas for trapping, different types of traps.
• Law / regulations relating to the control of Pests, both in domestic and commercial circumstances.
• Shooting of Vermin during day and at night.
• Firearms law relating to the use of weapons for vermin control.
• Personal Protective Equipment when controlling Pests
• Practical Session on farm looking at suitable sites for traps/poison/gas
• Disposal of corpses
• Safety and First Aid

Notes :

A certificate is provided at the end of this course which will satisfy the requirements of most Assured Produce schemes.
