Course Summary :

Although not obvious, the office breeds its own selection of hazards and risks, such as work related upper limb disorders (WRULDs), sick building syndrome and stress from work pressure.

With health and safety law affecting all areas of work practices in the office, measures must be taken to ensure your company or the company you are working for complies with its legal obligations.

Risk assessment is also at the heart of current health and safety law, and this course will discuss both the general risk assessment approach and how it specifically relates to some office based problems, such as display screen equipment.

In addition, this course will cover the recent Health and Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2002 and the new requirements placed on employers. It will also address the Health and Safety Executives updated guidance in relation to the Display Screen Equipment Regulations.
