There has been the introduction of new regulations (Groundwater regulations, Farm Waste Management Regulations) and the updating of other regulations (the Waste Management Licensing Regulations and the Recycling of Sewage Sludge to Land Regulations) during 2005. These introduce tighter controls on the methods of disposal of farm wastes and the use of organic wastes as soil conditioners or nutrient sources.
This one-day course is designed to introduce growers to the ways in which they will have to comply with these regulations in order to protect the UK environment.
