If farmers are to remain competitive, particularly under a changing climate, they need access to the latest information coupled with practical demonstrations of how innovative approaches to irrigation management can achieve greater resource efficiency (notably water and energy). This training workshop is intended to help growers improve their on-farm management practices and also help them cope with changes in water regulation and Environment Agency requirements for demonstrating ‘reasonable’ need and ‘efficiency’ as part of their licence renewal process.
