A series of one day modules that can stand alone as one day events or be completed as a programme.

This programme is designed to complement and build on previous development for Managers who have already completed the Level 3 ILM Award in First Line Management. It is also suitable for Managers with no previous management development/qualification

For candidates who have already completed the (Institute of Leadership and Management) ILM Award this programme can lead to achieving the ILM Certificate in First Line Management. Candidates with  no ILM qualification could gain the ILM Award in First Line Management 

In order to achieve the Certificate candidates need to  

  • Attend all five days covering
    • Planning and Understanding Change
    • Working Efficiently
    • Motivating to Perform
    • Recruiting Selecting and Inducting Staff
    • Building the Team

In addition 6 workbooks would also need to be completed on other topics

  • Complete a work based assignment that addresses a change in the workplace
  • Complete 8 additional written assessments on topics covered in the programme relating to practical application at work. 

In order to achieve the Award candidates need to 

  • Attend all five days covering

    • Working Efficiently
    • Motivating to Perform
    • Recruiting Selecting and Inducting Staff
    • Building the Team

In addition they would have to complete a workbook on Solving Problems and Making Decisions

  • Complete a work based assignment that addresses a problem or leads to an improvement in the workplace
  • Complete a work based assignment that addresses a change in the workplace
  • Complete four additional written assessments on topics covered in the programme relating to practical application at work. 
Alternatively candidates can build up certificates of unit credit
