Course Summary :

This course trains the operator to deal with windblown trees.
This is one days training towards a NPTC independent test for
individual and multiple windblown trees.

Training is carried out on site, and the client will need to provide workshop facilities and have access to some windblown trees to fell.  Trees should have been blown over no more than 12 months prior to the course.

If there are insufficient windblown trees then this may be simulated by pushing some over with heavy machinery.  It is worth noting that a felling licence will also be required.

A legal chainsaw and full safety clothing is required for each student, a list of which can be found below.

Once this qualification has been attained a refresher is required every three to five years.
